Hey aventureros! ¿Qué cuentan?

Hoy les presento un tema diferente, del que algunos prefieren no hablar, pero es necesario; además, podemos aprender de todo.

¿Quién no ha tenido un corazón roto? A esto se refiere pedazos, inspirada en la canción “Breakeven (Falling to pieces)” de la banda The Script.

Esto es aún más difícil cuando uno sigue amando, y el otro ya no. Como dice Danny en la canción: él se desvela mientras ella duerme. Pero, lamentablemente hay que aceptarlo y enfrentarlo para poder superarlo. Uno puede intentar salvar la relación, pero si ya a la otra persona no le interesa o hasta tiene a alguien más, lo mejor es seguir adelante. Sé que es más fácil decirlo que hacerlo, pero sólo así nos permitiremos sanar y (en un futuro) poder volver a amar.

Esta canción habla de que, así como algo se rompe de manera desigual, lo mismo pasa con el corazón; nunca se rompe de manera pareja. Lo importante es aprender de esta experiencia, y no volver a cometer los mismos errores. Esta historia cuenta que él está asumiendo toda la culpa, pero siempre ambas personas contribuyen a terminar una relación.

Algo que les he aconsejado a amigos que han pasado por esto es que le den unas vacaciones al corazón, para darse tiempo a sanar y a empezar de nuevo. Aunque es difícil, cuando uno ama a alguien, uno desea que esa persona sea feliz, aunque sea con otra persona. Como en la película “Eat Pray Love” con Julia Roberts, deséale lo mejor a tu ex; de nada sirve que estés en guerra con él (o ella), y menos si tienen hijos. Nadie retiene a nadie, por más que haga; si la persona se quiere ir, se irá. No busques culpables; toma responsabilidad por lo que te toca, y sigue caminando.

Today I’m bringing you a different subject, which some people prefer not to talk about, but it’s necessary; besides, we can learn from everything.

Who has not had a broken heart? The title of this post, “Pieces”, is inspired by the song "Breakeven (Falling to pieces)" from The Script band.

This is even more difficult when someone still loves, while the other doesn’t love anymore. As Danny says in the song, he is awake while she is sleeping. Unfortunately, you have to accept it and deal with it to move on. One can try to save a relationship, but if the other is no longer interested or even has someone else, the best thing is to move on. I know it's easier said than done, but only this way we’ll let us heal and (in the future) be able to love again.

This song is about that as something breaks unevenly, the same happens with the heart; it never breaks evenly. The important thing is to learn from this experience and not to repeat the same mistakes. This story says that he is taking all the blame, but both people always contribute to end a relationship.

Something I've advised my friends who have gone through this is to give the heart a break, to give it time to heal and start again. Although it is difficult, when you love someone, you want that person to be happy, even if it’s with someone else. Like in the movie "Eat Pray Love" with Julia Roberts, wish the best for your ex; it’s useless to be at war with him (or her), and even more if you have children. No one keeps anyone from leaving, no matter what he (or her) does; if the person wants to go, he or she will go. Don’t look for someone to blame; take responsibility for what you did, and keep walking.
